In Berlin, Germany, on September 9th, 2022, the captivating performance art installation, Infinite II, unfolded. Presented as part of the Julia Stoscheck Collection and in collaboration with the Reference Festival, the piece was masterfully directed by Matt Lambert, with the esteemed Michèle Lamy taking center stage. Exploring the profound theme of infinity, the performance art delved into the concept through a ritualistic exchange of energy, offering a mesmerizing and thought-provoking experience.
“I’ve started to realize that the magic of our collaboration is in chaos – creating a playground and letting the catharsis of the process take over”, says Michèle Lamy. “We’re always getting closer to finding our shared universe, but the best moments often come from when we make each other uncomfortable.”
The immersive performance was enriched by a captivating soundtrack curated by acclaimed artists including Arca, Ryoji Ikeda, and Lavascar. This further enhances the immersive experience with the poignant words from the poetry of Etel Adnan. The digital rendition of Infinite II signifies the evolution of Michèle Lamy and Matt Lambert’s collaborative journey, which commenced with their notable work Butt Muscle in 2017. Their artistic partnership has since graced renowned venues such as Berghain and Venice, reflecting a continuous exploration of creativity and innovation.
Entropy, a studio working with artists, innovators, strategists, and technologists to bring their visions to life, minted the NFT, which price is 0.02 ETH.
