“Salesforce introduces Web3 platform to enable trusted and scalable NFT programs for brands”

On March 15, Salesforce introduces the Web3 platform, Salesforce Web3. The platform will enable companies to create, manage, and deploy non-fungible tokens (NFTs) in a trusted, scalable, and sustainable way. Salesforce introduces the Web3 platform goal is to provide a new way for brands to connect with their customers by integrating their Customer 360 data with Web3 data. This will enable brands to gain a comprehensive understanding of how their customers interact with their brands across traditional and emerging digital environments.

The Web3 platform offers a range of features that will enable brands to create personalized, omnichannel experiences across Web2 and Web3. The platform will provide a 360-degree view of how customers interact with NFT collections, giving businesses valuable insight into customer behavior. Salesforce has partnered with global consulting partners like Accenture and Deloitte Digital, as well as digital agencies and strategy consultants like AE Studio, and Media. Monks, Time, and Vayner3 to help businesses implement Web3 and experiment with blockchain, digital wallets, and NFT minting.

Devin Nagy, Director of Technology and Emerging Platforms at Diageo North America, praised Salesforce’s partnership and said that it helped the company reimagine and digitally scale Crown Royal’s Purple Bag Project. Nagy said that Salesforce provided a trusted partner to support their front-end commerce site and back-end data connector to support the #ThatDeservesACrown campaign. Claire Boots, Global CRM Manager at Scotch & Soda, also praised Salesforce and said that the company chose Salesforce Web3 as a trusted partner to securely deploy their Club Soda 3.0 NFT pilot program, which took less than two weeks and gave them real-time insight into the 30% of net news.

Salesforce has been working to integrate its services with blockchain technology for several years now. In 2018, the company announced plans to offer a Blockchain and cryptocurrency solution for its customers by September of that year. Additionally, in 2019, the Italian luxury sports car brand Lamborghini used Salesforce Blockchain to authenticate heritage Lamborghini cars. By using Salesforce Blockchain, Lamborghini was able to trace, certify, and authenticate heritage cars faster and more securely.

In addition to its integration with blockchain technology, Salesforce has played an active role in the blockchain fundraising space. The company has contributed millions to TRM Labs and blockchain startup Digital Asset, among others.
